Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. Integrity means following your moral or ethical convictions and doing the right thing in all circumstances, even if no one is watching you. Having integrity means you are true to yourself and would do nothing that demeans or dishonours you.

Teaching children the importance of honour and integrity can be challenging. It can be difficult to do this effectively, especially when we see celebrities and high profile people in the media are being seen to be behaving dishonourably.

Kansai Karate training will teach your children why integrity is important. Integrity is fundamental in everything we do at Kansai Karate . We will teach your children that there’s a right and a wrong way to do things. We provide incentives and offer rewards if they observe our rules.

A good example of how we teach integrity in Kansai Karate belt system. When children first begin training, their attention is often on what rank they are and what colour belt they have. However, as children continue training they will inevitably learn that rank isn’t as significant as the skills and knowledge they have.

Students may even turn down the opportunity to go up to a higher rank if they feel they need to train more at that level, to feel worthy enough to progress. By refusing the easy way and valuing what is actually important highlights their integrity. Kansai Karate will help your children learn to develop confidence, a strong sense of self-worth by knowing they are people with integrity and high morals.

In Kansai Karate we teach the value of honesty, good morals and follow through.

HONESTY

We talk about the importance of being honest. We give children honest feedback and show how it’s important to receive constructive criticism. In doing so the children are actively learning how to be honest but not mean, and that’s a key component to integrity.

MORALS

We teach children the value of good morals, such as clean fighting in training Children need to know how to train with integrity and abide by all set rules.

FOLLOW THROUGH

We also teach children that it’s critical to keep promises. They make a obligation to Kansai Karate and need to keep following through by regular training.

Essentially, these three elements – honesty, morality, and follow-through – are the three mechanisms of integrity. Your child will be learning these principles each and every time they come to our Kansai Karate training hall. Our instructors and students will learn to live by these rules, both in and out of the training hall.

With your children knowledgeable about integrity it will benefit them at school environment and in relationships. Children who live with integrity won’t lie, cheat, or bully others and they will feel more confident in not being subjected to peer pressure.
